App Privacy

SpeedScope Privacy

SpeedScope is designed to diagnose Mac slowdowns on device. It does not require an account, analytics, ads, remote logging, diagnostic upload, or background cleanup automation.

Effective date

This page is app-specific. It is separate from the website, store, analytics, and commission inquiry policy so App Store privacy answers can stay accurate for each app.

Local diagnostics only

SpeedScope reads local system signals such as load average, memory pressure, process count, top process names, PIDs, CPU use, memory use, Docker/container state when available, mounted volume names, Spotlight indexing status, and selected user LaunchAgent labels. These diagnostics are processed on the Mac.

No account, analytics, or uploads

SpeedScope does not require a Luna Peregrino account and is not designed to collect analytics, advertising identifiers, telemetry, crash uploads, process-list uploads, filenames, or remote diagnostic logs for Luna Peregrino.

Local preferences

The app stores local preferences such as automatic refresh state and refresh cadence in macOS preferences. Recent scan history is bounded and kept in app memory for the current session so users can compare whether a slowdown is transient or persistent.

Guided App Store controls

The App Store release path presents guided, reversible controls instead of direct shell cleanup automation. It does not delete files, silently clean caches, install privileged helper tools, or modify protected system locations in the background.

Manual admin steps

Admin-only operations, such as disabling Spotlight indexing for a selected backup volume, are shown as manual guidance the user may choose to run outside the app. Support requests should not include passwords, API keys, private file paths, or complete process listings.
