App Privacy

System Vitals Monitor Privacy

System Vitals Monitor processes aggregate system signals locally. Upgrade Advisor in version 1.2 uses those signals to create private reports without collecting personal data or uploading the workload.

No personal data collection

System Vitals Monitor does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. It does not require an account and does not send analytics or telemetry to Luna Peregrino.

Local system information

System Vitals Monitor reads local Mac system information such as CPU usage, GPU usage when available, memory pressure, disk capacity, battery state, power information, network throughput, and thermal pressure so it can display those values inside the app. This information is processed locally on your Mac.

Private Upgrade Advisor

A user-started Upgrade Advisor session stores aggregate timing, CPU, memory, storage, optional GPU and power context, and Apple's qualitative thermal state locally so it can recover after a quit or restart. It does not save documents, websites, other apps' activity, process names, network destinations, exact hardware temperatures, serial numbers, or hardware identifiers.

Local reports and explicit export

The app can keep a bounded local library of completed aggregate decisions and controlled retests. Reports leave the app only when you deliberately export privacy-filtered Markdown or JSON through the macOS Save panel, or copy the same filtered summary to the clipboard.

Local preferences

System Vitals Monitor stores app preferences locally using macOS preferences, such as selected widgets, refresh interval, compact mode, pinned window state, and menu bar indicator settings.

Optional tests

System Vitals Monitor includes optional network speed and disk benchmark tests. The network test contacts Cloudflare speed-test endpoints only when you start it. The disk benchmark writes and reads a temporary test file on the selected disk or folder and removes it after the test finishes or is cancelled.
