Release & Source Notes

  • Audio Control only shows apps that are actively producing audio.
  • AirPods and other Apple ecosystem devices can switch between Mac and iPhone according to macOS handoff behavior.
  • USB, HDMI, and display devices vary in hardware volume support; Audio Control may use software volume for devices where hardware volume is unavailable or unreliable.
  • Permission changes often require quitting and reopening the app before macOS applies them.
  • Audio Control includes GPLv3-licensed source derived from FineTune. Source for the App Store build is available through this support channel; include "Audio Control source request" in the email subject.
